W4Nevada exists to put power, information, and accountability back in the hands of regular Nevadans.
This is a Nevada-first civic media platform built to investigate public issues, explain government actions, review documents, cover local meetings, and help people across all 17 counties understand what is happening in their own communities.

Matthew Winterhawk is a husband, father, civic educator, nonprofit founder, and Nevada advocate focused on transparency, accountability, public records, education, water, land, county government, and citizen participation.
Over fifteen months, Winterhawk traveled more than 110,000 miles across Nevada, visiting all 17 counties, attending public meetings, speaking with families, educators, ranchers, veterans, tribal members, small business owners, local officials, and regular Nevadans who felt ignored by the political system.
Rather than relying on consultants, polling firms, party machines, or political insiders, he chose to learn directly from the people affected by decisions being made in Carson City, Washington D.C., county boards, school boards, agencies, and commissions.
His work is guided by a simple standard:
Meet the people.
Read the documents.
Tell the truth.
Do the work.
